Q: When is the first day of school?
A: Thursday August 13th is the first day of school for students in the 2026-2027 school year. Click here for additional calendar dates.
Q: What are the school hours for students?
A: 8:20 – 2:40. The full 2026-2027 PVMS Bell Schedule is as follows:

Q: When is drop off/pick up in the car line?
A: Cars begin unloading each morning at 8:05 and loading starts in the afternoon at 2:40.
Q: How do I get information about Transportation?
A: AM and PM Bus stop information is being populated in the Parent Portal this week. If you have questions about Transportation, please call the Transportation Call Center at 813.320.2562.
Q: Are walkers allowed to use the crosswalk to get to the other side of Parkway Blvd after school?
A: Yes, students can use the crosswalk to the south of the school. There is not a crossing guard on duty during the middle school arrival and dismissal times.
Q: Where can I find my child’s class schedule?
A: Schedules are available now via the Pasco One app and the Parent Portal. Please note that schedules are still being balanced. All students will receive a copy of their schedule on the first day of school.
Q: My child has special needs. How will those be accommodated?
A: Staff who have students who have Individual Education Plans and 504 Plans in review those plans during Planning Week and will implement these plans at the start of the school year. IEP Case Managers will be reaching out to parents to discuss their transition and the details for the year. School counselors coordinate the 504 plans. Feel free to reach out to your school counselor if you have specific questions.
Q: How do I find information on school sports?
A: Information about the tryouts for each sports team will be included in Mrs. Warren’s weekly newsletter in the weeks leading up to that season. Keep an eye open for these details throughout the year.
Q: Are there any tutoring or intervention programs available if my child starts to struggle?
A: Individual teachers provide interventions for students in their class that are unique to their content area. If you have concerns, please communicate directly with them via myStudent and they can direct you in the best direction for support.
Q: How can I monitor my child’s grades and assignments?
A: It is best practice to review your child’s grades and assignments via myStudent at least once a week and we encourage parents to do this with their child to build ownership and engagement in the process.
Q: What can my child wear to school?
A: PVMS uses the dress code guidance from the Pasco School Board.
Q: Are there lockers at PVMS?
A: No, PVMS does not have lockers in the main building. There are PE lockers available for those students who are enrolled in a PE class that students can use to store their materials.
Q: How does communication work for parents?
A: We strongly believe in the importance of communication. Parents should read Mrs. Warren’s weekly newsletter that comes through the Parent Portal each week. You can set it up to be delivered to your email inbox. Teachers use myStudent/Parent Portal as well to send whole group information to your parents as well as individual messages to parents. We also encourage you to follow PVMS on our Facebook and Instagram social media feeds.
Q: Who do I communicate with if my child needs to take medication while at school?
A: Please email our school nurse at lsamhour@pasco.k12.fl.us and she will follow up after August 5th.
Q: Are there after school activities and clubs at PVMS?
A: Yes, there are many after school activities and clubs at PVMS. Stay tuned to Mrs. Warren’s weekly newsletter for information about individual activities.
Q: How can I find the supply list for PVMS?
A: The supply list is available on our school website or by clicking here.
Q: How long do students have between classes?
A: The passing period is 3 minutes long. We will work with students during the first days of school to help them navigate the campus. We will not issue tardies right away.
Q: Are there field trips for Year One students?
A: Yes, we don’t have details on the specifics, but we are planning for field trips this year.
Q: How do I pay school fees?
A: You can pay for school fees via the Pasco One app or through the Rycor link on our school website.
Q: What are school fees used for?
A: School fees provide consumable materials and classroom supplies associated with individual courses. They also support technology and other infrastructure elements to the school that need updating periodically.
Q: Can my child bring their cell phone to school?
A: Students are allowed to have wireless communication devices with them while on campus, but they must remain silent and out of sight once the student enters the school building and all throughout the rest of the day. Students can use their wireless communication devices after 2:40 to communicate with their parents. If a wireless communication device becomes a disruption or a student violates the “silent and out of sight” expectation, students can lose the ability to have a device on campus.
