Influenza Vaccination – October 12, 2017

2017-2018 – Action Required:  Influenza Vaccinations: 9/19/17

Pasco County Schools and the Florida Department of Health – Pasco have partnered with Healthy Schools, LLC to implement the Teach Flu A Lesson program again this year.  In an effort to prevent disease and reduce absenteeism, Healthy Schools, LLC will be providing no cost influenza vaccinations to all participating students on October 4-12.

This program is voluntary. Only children with consent forms signed and completed by the parent/guardian will be vaccinated. Consent forms were mailed directly to each school and should be sent home as soon as possible, but at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled date. Electronic versions of consent forms are available on the healthy schools website. Information will be provided to parents via district website, social media and messaging. Healthy Schools, LLC will be providing yard type signage for schools to display (for example in the car drop off/ pick up area) leading up to clinic date.

Please refer to schedule for the date and time for your school’s Flu Vaccine Clinic. School nurses will be present during the vaccination clinics and representatives from the Department of Health may also visit your school. If you have additional questions please contact Lisa Kern, Supervisor, School Health Services at 42358.
